Our new take on the marvels of the great depths.

The Oktopus Deep Sea is a very special watch, inspired by a commission that Linde Werdelin were honoured to deliver to the maritime special operations forces of the Danish Defence, the Frogman Corps.

The brief was to construct a very discreet yet legible watch, to be used during their missions. All divers will have experienced how all colours mute as they swim further away from the surface; everything around them becoming blurred and darker. Inspired by this problem, the design has a sandblasted titanium case to avoid any unwanted reflections in the water and feature solid cut-out LumiNova hour numbers.

The new Oktopus Deep Sea shares the same stripped back aesthetics as the Oktopus Frogman with its LumiNova numbers and indexes, sandblasted titanium case, black ceramic bezel and black rubber strap, a new take on the marvels of the great depths.
