Angelus is a Swiss watchmaking manufacturer that was founded by the Stolz brothers in Le Locle, Switzerland over a century ago. The brothers, who were former students of Henri Sandoz, a director of the Tavannes Watch Company, established their Angelus watchmaking manufacture in a modest room on Rue du Marais, Le Locle.
After qualifying as a watchmaker, the third brother, Charles Stolz, joined Angelus, and the brand began to grow and establish itself as a distinguished watchmaking manufacturer. Angelus quickly forged a fine reputation for creating exceptional chronograph and multi-complication wristwatches, multi-display travel clocks with long power reserves, and alarm watches.
Over the years, Angelus continued to innovate and develop its watches, and its pioneering, in-house-developed movements and timepieces during the 1940s, 50s, and 60s were universally hailed by connoisseurs of high-end watchmaking.
Under the stewardship of its new parent company, La Joux-Perret, Angelus unveiled its first collection of the 21st century, the Urban collection.
